Can the wireless charging adapter work with ring case?

I found a wireless chargi g adapter for the p20 pro, but I have a ring case.

Has anyone tried using the adapter with the metal ring? Maybe 7mm away from back of the phone, but ring is made out of metal. Will break my heart if it can't work.
