One of the only things i hate about the Droid is the Phone App. Among other things, its just outright fugly!

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the htc sense phone app onto the droid (like we get the htc keyboard)??

Wouldn't that be much better?

well i am not particularly interested in an entire sense experience. I just wanted bits and pieces from it, like the keyboard (which is already done) and the phone application. Maybe even a few of thier widgets.

Is it weird that the only thing that turns me off when it comes to sense is the launcher?! I hate the curved launcher bar. It contradicts the design of the rest of the phone, even when its on the phone it is meant for. And its enough of a dislike to outweigh everything else about sense (which i love)

Give me a complete sense UI without/ or different launcher, and i will be the happiest Android fan out there!

It is possible if someone makes a ROM that way or provides a kitchen but sense ui parts can not be stripped out to be added to any other version of Android.

Their are two ways to deal with your problem.
1) Once Sense gets a fully operational port to the Droid, you will probably be able to not use the launcher app as the default launcher. (as was done on the Desire). You could just download helix launcher on a sense ROM. and you're all set.
2) Although it is not able to be ripped right from sense and installed on vanilla android. With a good amount of work/code modding things like the keyboard can be applied as individual apps. but you better only want to use pretty stand alone features like the keyboard. maybe the camera app. But dont expect the weather widget or friendstream to be leaked any day now. those are just too entangled into sense.
