Can u root mine

Mine was with Verizon it's a Moto e5 play 8.0.0 n I've been told since it was with Verizon it can't be rooted

We can't root it. If it can be rooted, you need to research how and also how to recover from a completely bricked state (which is a risk when rooting). The XDA Developers forum is usually the best place to research that sort of info.

I will say to stay away from one click rooting apps like Kingroot. They are known to install spyware deep into the OS that is almost impossible to remove.
