if you update with the new TB update, do you lose everything on your phone? if so, how do you back it all up, including apps?

thanks

Apps that you downloaded from Market should download again. In the old version of the Market software, it would only remember those apps that you paid for, and you would have to find the others again and download them manually, but in the newer version it keeps track of the free apps also. Same with the Amazon Appstore. For apps that you side loaded (ie, from another source than Market), there should be *.apk files in the Download folder on your SD card.

I have already done several factory resets on my TB without back up. After the second, i stopped setting it all up because i knew there would be an update to fix the issue. I finally called to get my exchange set up on my TB and have slowly set up some of my apps as i needed to use them. I want to try this update to see if it helps my rebooting issue, but i don't want to loose all my information and app data. I am not worried about the apps as they have always come back with the factory reset, but i want to keep my email settings and backgrounds and home screen setups if at all possible. I wouldn't mind paying for an app if i knew what all it will actually back up. I don't want to pay for it then find out after i factory reset that it didn't save it all. I am not rooted, so i don't think titanium or my backup pro will save the information that i want.

Texts
Email settings for "mail"
Homescreens
App Data (the save data for apps, not the apps themselves)

Any suggestions? Anything i forgot that needs to be backed up that doesn't come back automatically.

If you're not rooted, there is no way to save app data (at least none that I have found). Mybackup pro, however, does save texts and homescreens and some settings, I believe.
