The sprint online store doesn't give me a no contract option.
I'm not up for an upgrade and I don't want to renew m contract right now.
Where can I get it at full price running sprint network?

When I was at the Sprint Store, it gave off contact pricing of $679 (sorry I could be a few bucks off...but it was definitely under $700).

Are you signed into your account when you do it? I have the option of buying it off contract

Did anyone notice a crazy 20% sales tax?? I paid $125 in taxes??!! On a $650 phone?? What gives??

I went to 2 stores, the first I just missed out on the gray ones, but they had a white one if I wanted it and I could get it off contract. The other store had a gray one but refused to sell it to me off contract, I was pretty pissed.

Only company stores, or online sales, will sell the device off contract. Sprint partnership stores will only offer the two year contract option.

Where are you? I only paid $20 in taxes.

Sales tax to be paid depends on the state's sales tax rules. Some states, like California, charge sales tax on the full retail price of the phone, even if you got it for free. Others charge sales tax on the pre-rebate sales price of the phone. Yet others charge sales tax just on the cash-register purchase price. It's a real hodgepodge.

Went to a Sprint store for my phone to buy it for full price after hearing that Best Buy did not yet have the phone. I was second in line. When it was my turn I told him that I was buying it off contract and he said he "isn't allowed by the corporate office" to sell the phone off-contract. After I kept trying with him, he still refused and then said that I was "causing a scene" even though I wasn't even yelling while he was. Then he said that if I didn't leave, he would call the cops to escort me out of the store. I left furious and I called up a sprint rep to file a complain and they basically said that what he said was complete LIES!! YOU CAN BUY IT OFF-CONTRACT ON THE FIRST DAY FROM ANY SPRINT STORE!! Complaints were filed against the store and are even being escalated to upper management. If a rep does this to you, file a complaint because they are not following the rules.

The only reason a rep does this is because they don't make money off selling you an off-contract phone. They only make their "commission" off of new lines or contract renewals. Therefore, when they have a hot phone such as this one, they don't sell them off-contract to ensure they make more money. It is greed and they should be reported if they do this. I have decided to go to Best Buy to buy the phone (once they have it and hopefully soon) since this was the treatment I got for shopping at a Corporate Sprint Store.

I know that... that's why I asked where the person was.

$649 plus tax off contract. Bestbuy will toss in a $100 markup at least. Depending how much they give you for trade in value on a old phone you don't need anymore will lower the price.

Thanks for this information. I was told by a Sprint partnership store they couldn't sell the device off contract for the first 30 days. I just took them at their word, and moved on until I found a corporate store with the device in stock. But if the reps statement is inaccurate it's a shame they are doing this. I don't see how this helps their bottom line in anyway?
