Can you cancel marshmallow

I asked before but nobody responded. Since the latest update the tablet has become erratic. Demanding sign in instead of fingerprint, closing applications suddenly, even typing this took a few tries. Can you roll back to previous OS? Or are we stuck with this forever???? How would you go back in time without factory reset where you would lose everything????

For Samsung devices, you might be able to reflash the previous version of Android, but that would wipe your device in the process.
