Can you create templates for Notes on the Note 8?

Re: nurse has a question

If you read the OP question. He explained that his desire is to find an app to to use to take notes/reminders of what he has to do for the day for that particular patient. Its no different than taking notes on a notepad or price of paper. He explained it's something th at call daily "brain" which means their own notes/reminders.

Again - no different than jotting patient info down on a piece of paper, stuffing it in a pocket & then taking it home. IMHO, that piece of paper can get lost more easily than the data being on a device.

And that price of paper must be protected. HIPAA requires ALL patient data be protected. It does not matter if on paper or on a phone or any other device. Violations can result in heavy fines and or imprisonment.
The best thing to do is check with the hospital. There is a HIPAA compliance office in every hospital. And to be honest that is the only valid advise anyone can give the OP.

Let's just suppose that There will be no personal/sensitive/regulated information involved in what the OP wanted to do.
What suggestions would people have to help them with some type of ToDo type functionality that could help them better manage their day (this could be used to potentially improve patient care) Staff in a health Care environment do not sit at a desk all day, they are typically mobile for most of their work shift, most treatment/patient rooms have secure computers for charting, etc. these computers typically offer no function to help you with todo type capability (also when in a treatment/patient room, your focus should be the patient, you move out of the room and focus on what's next). what can people think of to help the OP?
-OneNote with Sync turned off could be one option. (it supports features like check boxes and a range of other things)

BR, so we are exploring something like say a checklist by Room number for example. If done like that and, for discussion purposes, might include such things as check IV with maybe some subsections associated with an IV check. with simple check boxes would no doubt be helpful along with an area to add a Note to that is non-patient specific. It should be something that can be set up quickly and be reusable or duplicated multiple times.

Would Google keep fill that need? or is that more than what the OP would need.

I should think yes (RM number would not have any restricted information), but I guess only the OP can really say for sure. I doubt many of the RN's where I am would use this but I bet some of the Students that train here may be more inclined.
Google Keep, I'm not sure about (I have never used but I was trying to keep this as an off-line app so no data leaves the facility and there's no connectivity requirement) At that's what I kind of pictured with my IT guy hat on :)

Cheers, (thanks to all for constructive input)

I agree an off line app would simplify security concerns. If patient info is accidentally entered it can be easily deleted. may not happen with an online or synced app. They need to keep it all local.

You can use S Notes possibly. It gives options to use templates.

This advice is correct. Before you decide to do this and run the risk of severe federal fines as well as termination of your employment, some ask the folks at YOUR own hospital....not this message board.

I found this in the app store. It allows you great checklists and such.

THIS^^^^^^^^

You can't mess with HIPAA or place PHI in a non sanctioned app or as others have said, on a piece of paper in your pocket. These aren't our personal opinions or suggestions, these are Federal laws that if broken, could cost you and/or your employer serious fines and probably your employment.
