Can you pin albums to the homescreen

One thing I am missing from my Lumia Icon is the ability to pin albums to the homescreen. If I come across an album I like I would like to just pin it on the homescreen so I can just play it whenever I want to instead of opening the music app and searching for the artist alphabetically then finding the album I like. Is this possible with Android?

I haven't seen that ability, but it would be entirely dependent on what music app you're using. I know several of the eBook apps allow you to pin a widget shortcut to a specific book, so the functionality is definitely possible.
