Can you put a net10 sim card into a Samsung note 5

I have a government issued free phone using net10. Can I just put that sim card into the note 5 if they fit. And will it work or is there more to it?

Yes, if the card physically fits, it will work. With one condition: That the phone you're putting it in has been sim unlocked. They can come factory unlocked, but are most common "Carrier Branded" and locked to that carrier. If it's locked to the carrier, the carrier will unlock it if certain conditions are met, mainly that the phone doesn't have any payments or contract term left.
Best way to find out is to simply try. Worst case, phone kicks back and says it's not a valid sim for the carrier. Best case, it just works
