can you run it in tablet mode?

Is there a system setting to turn it into a tablet mode? I see a lot of complaints that it's too big to run in phone resolution.

Really? I have never seen such a complaint - where did you see people complaining about the resolution?
Anyway I don't believe it is possible to run it in tablet mode without rooting it.

You can run it in tablet mode within Apex Launcher.
