Can you turn the sense ui off on the slide?

I don't have a slide i have a MT3G. Rumor has it we are getting the sense ui when updated to froyo! I used to have the sprint hero and u can kind of turn of the sense ui on it, can u do it on the slide? if so is it still intergrated in the os, or is it 100% vanilla 2.1? thanks.

I don't think you can turn it off. I've been using LauncherPro to get the Stock UI feel.

They just look different. My main reason for using LauncherPro is that I didn't like the bubbles around the app icons and I like the bottom bar better in LauncherPro, it mimics Froyo and doesn't have the myFaves shortcut that I never used.

One drawback to using LauncherPro is that you don't get to use HTC Sense widgets like the clock/weather widget.

what does the app drawer look like? does that have the bubbles around the apps? when you say it mimics froyo is it just the home screen or the whole os?

There aren't any bubbles around the apps. Here are some pictures of LauncherPro I found on the internet:

There's also an option to have the 3D apps drawer.

You can install it to try it and if you don't like it uninstall it and go back to HTC Sense Espresso. Or you can leave both installed, it asks you what you want to use every time you press the Home button. You can set one as default and it won't ask anymore.
