It won't damage the phone, the phone regulates how much power is coming into it.

I have the 45w wall charger. I bought it today from Verizon. I am afraid to charge the z fold 4 with it cause I hear it’s too much for the phone.

Can someone explain what charger would be ideal with the z fold 4 please or is the 45 watt charger fine.

I can’t get a straight answer as to which power brick by Samsung is ideal for fast charging

If this is the only thing you are going to charge with that charger then you paid extra for a charger you don't need. The fold 4 only supports 25 watts which really is fast enough. The phones Samsung does have that support 45 watt Samsung has them set to slow the charging watts down after 50%, maybe a little higher I can't remember. The 45 watt charger is really only beneficial if you drop down real low in charge on the phone, after that 50% charge it slows down.

You can use the 45 watt charger on the fold 4, it won't charge that rate. The phone will only charge at 25 watts. If this is the only thing you're going to charge with it I would return it to Verizon and get the 25 watt charger and save your money, unless you got it on sale. I have one and use it on my fold just fine. Only reason I have it was it was free on a promo from ordering a phone a while back.

After the note 7 battery issue Samsung is cautious on their batteries, with good reason IMO.

I appreciate the quick response. I’ll be back at Verizon to return it and get the 25w Samsung branded charger. Can you recommend a wireless charging pad that Samsung makes for this phone that Verizon sells; please.

My friend I’m not gonna get that one cause that’s dual. I just want the single pad for the phone and the 15 w charger

I'm using a 45w charger on my Z Fold 4 and it's great! It won't harm the phone, and it charges a lot fast than my older quick charge 3.0 chargers......

It won't charge any faster then a 25 watt charger. 25 watts is pretty decent speed charging.

I use the 140w charger that I use for my MacBook Pro. It will not harm your zf4. All modern day devices regulate how much power it will draw.
