Can you use the Note 3 pen on the Note 5?

Can you use the Note 3 pen on the Note 5

I lost the Note 5 S Pen, and while I wait for a new one to be delivered, will it hurt my Note 5 if I insert the Note 3 Pen into the Note 5 ? Will it even stay if I put it there?
