CANADA - "Hold for me" Pixel 6

I got my Pixel 6 Pro here in Canada. I don't see the feature "Hold for me" on my Google Store Pixel 6. Is there a way to get it?

It seems hit and miss in Canada, I've read some users had it, then it disappeared after a week. This is across all carriers, so not limited to Bell/Rogers, even someone on Public Mobile got it. I'd be interested to know if you figure it out, I don't see it as an option in my settings.

Sure, i will update if I got a workaround. Direct My Call’ & ‘Wait Times’, i believe, is not rolled out as well.

Just today spent approx. a total of 16 minutes on hold for me and didn't have to listen to their constant advertising and really bad music. Continue to watch TV and when it went off hold, phone made a notification sound and I pressed return to call and that was it.

Hope you get it. It might be one of the best features on a Pixel phone...
Just today spent approx. a total of 16 minutes on hold for me and didn't have to listen to their constant advertising and really bad music. Continue to watch TV and when it went off hold, phone made a notification sound and I pressed return to call and that was it.

This feature, Call Screening, Voice Typing and no bloatware are the reasons I'm looking at the Pixel 6. If they could just fix all the bugs I would quit waiting on the sidelines and take the plunge.

Yes, got it! I am unlocked on Rogers.

Google pulled those features on the server side. Not really sure why. Should return in the January update, at least we hope.

Interestingly my Pixel 4a received the December update au naturale and still has these phone features. The issues seem to be only for the Pixel 6 series. That's why our (North America) P6s have to wait until later (but hopefully sooner) in January to receive the update and fixes.

Thanks for explaining how it actually worked for you. I haven't been brave enough to try it yet, because I didn't want to spend valuable time waiting on the phone for half an hour, just to have my Google Assistant disconnect me lol.

Seriously? That's a bummer! What about the Pixel 5? I thought that feature was present on that device. I'm with Rogers but got my phone unlocked from the Google Store. I can't recall for certain if I've seen that feature or not in my settings.

So the Google "assistant" is able to differentiate between an automated voice that says things like "Please keep holding, an agent will be with you shortly"and a live person that says "Hi, can I help you"?
