Canceling a flash photo... Takes forever...

Hey, All,

Has anyone noticed that if take a pic and realize that the flash comes on, and you want to shut it off or cancel the photo, that it takes for ever (5 to ten seconds) because once the flash initiates, it won't stop until a photo is taken - and since the photos want to automatically focus, they never will while you're moving the phone around trying to cancel the pic....

Anyone?

How do you cancel a photo once it's taken?

Won't tapping on the back button get you out of it?

That's the thing.... There's a glitch where If I back out while the flash is on, the flash will STAY on... Forever. Until I force close the camera app.
 
Whoa. I didn't know the Pixel 2 had a front flash!
As stated above it uses the display lights up for a couple seconds before the pic takes seems odd because you loose the view/display while this happens
