Any one know how to get the Cancellation fee Waved?

I've had horrible service with T-Mobile for ages...
I got a blackberry because it is a WiFi Phone and I just use my Router for Service... T-Mobile is now giving me krap when i call asking for this Fee to be Cancelled out because I have a "WiFi" phone this should have solved my bad service issues...
This is just horrible Customer Service...

I am now a proud EVO Owner... It is pointless for me to keep my BB if my EVO Works perfect anywhere i go... I'm telling Retention straight up I dont like you I've had issues for ages and you give me excuses like "Towers that will be in place at a future date will fix these issues" my response is " This Doesnt give me Service NOW! *hinting at sprint* so it doesnt fix my issue"

I'm Just beyond aggravated and dont know what to do anymore with these Jerks... Anyone have any ideas to get this Fee waved... Any Ideas will be appreciated...

On a side note the Idiot rep actually stated... " Lets say you move you might have good Service" " Dude are you seriously Suggesting I Move from my house to accommodate your sorry service? Let me speak to your Manager..."

WTH has this world come to seriously!?!

Yup... I call at least 10 times a month its all there... their response... well if you didnt have service in your house we would offer a WIFI Phone which you already have there is nothing else we can do...

For what it's worth, they are all the same. When I left Sprint a few years ago, for the same reason, they didn't waive the cancellation fee either.

The last time you resigned your contract, did you have good service?
If you accepted the terms and did not cancel during the 'trial' period T-Mo will say the service was acceptable to you then, and it hasn't changed. You'll be SOL

A free wi-fi phone. Where are you to get wi-fi from?

I'm Home to get WIFI... My BB is on UMA always... Only way i can use it at home... The G1 had 2 bars of 3G when I had it... *RIP G1*

But yea They will offer you a free WIFI Phone if you have Sh*tty service at home...

I realize this now... The Uber Cute Sales Chick at Best buy is trying to help me out so me and her both can get out of our contracts we're looking up any and all Material Changes that are possible... Nothing in sight yet... But soon they will slip up and I will get my revenge...

Until then i think i may suspend the line and just pay the $20 suspension Fee

How odd that you are having problems with customer service. I have had T-Mobile for a few years now and have had nothing but great service from them. I always try to carefully explain my situation and tell them exactly want I am looking to do. I think it is a combination of being honest with them and letting them know you're not going to take any of the run-a-round from them.

NO i'm with the op my service in the first 30 days was good and after that it went to crap. dropped calls, no data at all IN MY ROOM! my kitchen its no 3g at all same as my bathrooms. my phone screen times out when i do get a data connection before the pages load. they 1st said "the tower was facing the wrong way" then they said everything was fixed it wasnt. tmo cs are paid to protect theyre sh#ty network. in tmonews forums i started a thread to rally to change the etf poilcy tmo is the only network that keeps it at $200 through 3/4 of the contract. the rest go down $10 every month. you know why? the other networks know the quality and sevice maps are larger and better. they know u wont be un happy. tmobile says "we know our sevice sucks, and your gonna leave, so were gonna charge you $200 no matter what!" we need to file a class action lawsuit!

I've just about giving up... I'm going to cancel and transfer my number to a second line on my Sprint account I can't get rid of the bb bleh

When you get on T-Mobile.com and check your coverage at your house what does it show? If it shows minimum coverage or even no coverage then you may be able to get out of the ETF. You would have to show proof of residency...

I would recommend to call T-Mobile and the robot lady gives you the welcome prompt say "Account Number" and you will be directed to Customer Loyalty. Talk to them nicely and explain to them you situation and they might wave the ETF. Be kind, cutaneous, and respectful and they will go out of their way to help you.

Shows all Green...

they did 3 service calls to the surrounding towers...

Their answer... " You have 12 3G towers in your area your reception should be perfect" me response " Are you in my account right now?" Rep " Yes" Me " Then look at the phone I have... Does it look like a 3G Phone?!?! You only have one 3G Blackberry and it came out after I bought my Curve unless you provide me with a 3G blackberry your 12 towers mean nothing to people like me with Edge phones" Rep" I understand your frustration here but we show full signal there is nothing we can do... Thank you for calling t-mobile have a great day" me " WHAT!?!?!?!?"

so yea I've tried all that They come back with some BS even if the coverage map doesnt show im covered they state i am because of a different type of service...

Its really not good customer service in my opinion

with Sprint... all Smiles and rainbows :p

I have yet to have an Issue with Sprint and the 1 time i had a little hiccup they fixed it over the phone within 2 minutes... Awesome service

I've had T-Mobile for years and was thinking of switching to Sprint for an Epic. Well, I got the Epic but didn't get any service in my apartment at all. And I live in a densely populated area of LA, so wtf.

Well, they have what's called an Airave which uses your net connection to make a mini-tower for your apartment. It costs $100 but they usually give it to you free. However, they told me that since I wasn't past my 30-day trial period, I didn't "have any value with Sprint yet" to which I replied, "Well, I'm not gonna stick past the 30-day trial without any service in my apartment. And I'm not going to get any service in my apartment without an Airave. And you won't give me an Airave. So I can't last long enough to earn the Value to get an Airave... and it's because you won't give me an Airave."

Long story short, an hour later he gave me his supervisor and she said, "I don't know all of what he told you and whether he was misinformed, but we don't have any guidelines on when you get an Airave for free except that you can't get one in the 30-day trial period." to which I replied, "You guys are running an awful business there." and she said "Well, this 30-day trial isn't just about YOU picking US, it's about US liking YOU as well." Great, so now she implied that I'm a pain in the *** for wanting cell phone service in my own apartment and not wanting to pay $100 and $4/month for the privilege.

T-Mobile's customer service has never given me any grief, which is why I'll soon be a proud G2 owner.

That's why I never do contracts anymore. I'm beginning to not like Tmobile either..this might be my last year with them.

T-Mobile Customer Service just sucks guys

No one know what they are talking about there

I call for My Blackberry every few weeks to get system updates and have them redo my cell connections

I need to be transfered 4 times within one dept before they get me to someone half way competent

The Billing is a joke it changed every month

I can't stand them and I can't wait to be done with them forever
