MVNO Deprioritisation

If I’m not mistaken, you could full moneyback guarantee if you decide not to go with the carrier so I would pick an unlimited plan upgraded so you could test drive it and cancel
I'll look into that but I thought I read somewhere when you pick a plan you are stuck with it till that is up for renewal

They do offer a refund if within 7 days but I don't want to port my number to test and I don't know if they will port after the fact

I think you can change to any plan, I can't see them forcing you unless you pick yearly.

I would do the 3 month unlimited $45 and cancel before the week, if you like them then sign up for a new plan

Yeah I have although I was wanting to do a side by side comparison using my Motorola razr 2024+ and for their test they only give a sim option. So what I did was buy 3 month plan (I plan on cancelling before my 7 days) but they won't allow that as a esim on the Motorola, so I caved and just did it for my pixel 9 pro fold, well that didn't go well either purchased it got the email to activate and clicked on it. It copied my activation code just fine into the app, said my esim was installed and service activated and what do you know, it didn't install the esim.

Tbh I'm already about over this whole venture. I'll probably go with Google Fi as I already did a test run with them and know I can get it to work. The only hesitation with them is I do not want to be esim since I switch phones and require a psim. Reading on forums there have been a lot of complaints that their psims will just stop working or won't activate at all. That makes me nervous

So I contacted their tech support and OMG horrible. They tried telling me that my unlocked pixel 9 pro fold was locked to a carrier.

I got the to send me an activation email with a QR code in it and I then activated my moto Razr 2024+ so I can do a side by side comparison. We shall see how this goes

It's kind of funny how they only list Google, Samsung or Apple for ESim but I got it activated on my Razr.

It still baffled me that they said my IMEI for my ESim came back carrier locked

So I am already at 296mb. I am not even 24 hours into their service and I would have been over their data limit already

So does anyone know if mint allow wifi calling. I ask because my enable is greyed out and it will not all to enable. It works when on T-Mobile

I'm planning on switching my family over from Tmo to Mint. My son just did with his iPhone and it seems RCS chats is not available on Mint. Don't know why since it's TMO's service basically. Other than that, all seems great. Anyone else have issues with RCS with their iPhone friends/family??

I'm thinking that it should work did you try to toggle off and on again? Sometimes when you are moving carriers RCS acts up at the beginning

Yeah, RCS can take up to a couple days to show on a new phone. I believe it happens faster if you deactivate it, before switching, on your old phone. Don't know if iPhone complicates the process as I'm on Android.

RCS works on Mint for Android to Android apparently. I found some info on reddit. Mint seemed to have dropped the ball getting RCS ready for when Apple enabled it. Mint is projecting the first to second quarter of 2025 to have it activated. If that's the worst issue, it's not a deal breaker to switch compared to the savings, for me.
