Two months ago, I ordered Epic from Amazon, but had to return it due to bad hardware and some software issues. I returned the device before 30 days were up and cancelled the Sprint contract and money was refunded and all went smooth. Now Epic is going for $99 on Amazon right now and I really wanted to get this deal, but Amazon says they cant process my order because my information is already present in the Sprint's system, so even though I am a new customer, they cant take my order. They say they can only take orders for Sprint from people who have never had been a Sprint customer before EVER!! So even though I am ordering a new line, I am not a new customer for Sprint, and therefore I am not eligible to order. The amazon rep said the only way I can order a Sprint phone from Amazon is after (and if) Sprint removed all my info from their system. I wanted to ask if others have experience such thing from Amazon and were you ever able to work around it?? Yes I know I can buy from someplace else, but I really wanted to get this deal of $99 for epic!

Technically, if it is a new account and you canceled within the thirty days, you must wait 90 days before activating again.

However, my suggestion to you is to go to best buy because they will price match amazon, I believe. Again, assuming that you can reactivate the account.

Sprint has a policy which requires you to wait 90 days after you cancel a contract within the first 30 days. From my understanding this is actually relatively new.

I ran into this with T-Mobile, when I tried to get a Dell Venue Pro to replace the HD7 I'd previously tried. They agreed to wipe the account from the database to let me give it another try, however, although I decided against it and got an Epic instead.

I already called Sprint since I thought my credit was getting declined. But Sprint said that they dont run a second credit check till 45 days after the account was closed, so their credit department said if they received a request for new account, it should be approved, but they checked and found amazon never submitted my account for credit approval this second time. The sprint never mentioned any 90 day restriction for reapplying. Sprint rep really wanted to help me even offered to reopen my closed account so that I can choose the add-a-line feature and add a new line to my previous account, but amazon does not support this.

I will try to request to have my account wiped from Sprint or see if BB will price match Amazon, but I doubt they will.

Im pretty sure Best Buy will match amazon's pricing. I have seen them match better deals just to get that extra activation. Best Buy will only be able to do this if they can get you on an account, however. So fix everything with sprint first.

Thanks estebancam, I will sure check with them. Personally I dont have any experience dealing with wireless folks at BB, but I have only read about how they only price match a Brick and Mortar store deal and not online deals. But I will still try my luck.

I Recently had the same issue when ordering through Amazonwireless, i was a Nextel subscriber back in the day, apparently Sprint doesn't remove customers from there database. So when you try opening a new account with Amazonwireless there system thinks you already have an account with sprint and it cancels the order, i spent over 2 hours calling back and fourth between sprint and amazon. Amazonwireless said within the next 2-3 month they will resolve this issue with there system , but i'm not waiting i went and ordered with Radioshack and got Epic for $179.99, Goodluck on whatever you decide
