cannot add a ringtone

I have a downloaded mp3 file that I want to use as a ringtone but cannot do it. Any help or suggestions out there?

Have you moved the file to the "Ringtone" folder? If you don't have one, you'll need to make it.

The folder must be called "ringtones", with the "s" at the end. It can be anywhere in storage (/ringtones or /media/ringtones or /any/where/you/want/ringtones).

I know that people just use an app to manage this, like RingDroid.

My bad - I forgot the "s".
