Hello, I'm on 6.0.1, have factory reseted, and i am still have this problem.

It will say "Cannot connect to Camera" and then quit the camera app. Usually when I am switching from the regular to video camera mode, this is on the newest camera update. BUT, I was having camera stability problems before this.

White Nexus 6, 64gb, all stock but unlocked.

AND, after my factory reset, recommended from Motorola, Motorola Connect keeps quitting on me. The popup shows up and in fact, after I click OK, it shows up again. I had to uninstall it.

ANyone else?

Any suggestions?

I'm gonna probably send it back to Motorola, and do the advanced Exchanged, but now it costs like $25 to do it?

Jeeze.

AND, similarly related, prior to my watch's factory reset, at times, i had to SHOUT "OK GOOGLE" into my watch and still nothing would happen. Anyone?

Thanks for all your help!

After the January 2016 security update I am also have trouble with Motorola Connect and my Nexus 6p. Since the update Connect continually crashes and restarts. I can change watch faces on my Moto 360, but am unable to change any customizable settings as Connect keeps crashing. I have had to force close it and finally uninstall it. I am able to change the watch faces using Android Wear...but I can't even change colors on the faces until this problem with Connect is resolved.

Anyone else?

WOW, more than just a Nexus problem, huh? That stinks... REALLY hope Google fixes this. Maybe make a post like this on the 6p forum and link it to here?

I'm having the "Cannot connect to camera" issue unexpectedly; but, I think it's more due to bugs in the Camera app than anything else. It only started happening after I updated the Camera app to the version most like the 6P / 5X in look and feel.

I'm going to perform a factory reset to see if that will fix things.

I haven't experienced any of the other issues reported in OP though.

I posted in the Play Store about this issue and the developer commented back. Turns out this was a permissions issue with Marshmallow. It could have definitely had to do with the January update...but all that was needed to correct was to open SETTINGS>APPS>CONNECT and then PERMISSIONS and turn on permissions to the CONTACTS. I also gave permissions for anything else that my watch used through Connect.

All is now well. And they responded very quickly, which I thanked them for. Hope this helps. With the new stronger permissions in Android 6, you do need to watch out for things that the OS blocks for you...

so i had to manually set up the permissions for motorola connect, that seems to have fixed that problem.

Sometimes OK Google still doesn't work on my watch all the time, but, well, i guess that's par for the course, Motorola doesn't seem to care anymore.

ANyone get the update? did it brick your watch? Any improvements?

I got a new nexus 6 from Motorola, the camera is still... it's better than before, at least it doesn't restart my phone. It's still not as smooth as it used to be.
