cannot flash Xiona recovery but Amon-Ra is ok

I have an issue, I want Xiona because it can format in mounts & I will
probably be needing to do that.
I can flash amon-ra based fine the most current ones in the sticky are what I used
but xiona just goes to a blank lcd. no response to keypresses to see if it reboots
like.it's not there.

I have ran root.checker, everything is ok.
if I try to reboot into bootloader it just blinks on lg logo
then continues to boot.
baseband is vd.

btw I have an optimus S and a V

I remember another user I was working with awhile back had this same issue. It is strange because both of the recoverys are supposed to fix the black screen issue. Anyhow, for whatever reason you are probably just going to have to use thunderc. Which will work fine. Use this file to flash when you need to format your system between Rom flashes.

Thanks I knew I needed a zip just not. Sure which did the formatting I need.
