Hi,
I tried to install the Skype with FFC support from here but it wouldn't install. I tried a couple of times and it failed, then on maybe the third time it told me that it failed for insufficient memory.

Then I tried uninstalling the regular skype app and tried again. Same result, insufficient memory.

Now I just want the regular app back but when I try and install I get the same error about Insufficient Storage Available.

I do not have many apps installed, phone tells me I have 840mb of space available.

I have tried rebooting phone multiple times.

Help!

Use Root Explorer and go to /data/data

Find the file called "com.skype.raider" and delete it.

Skype will install perfectly.

Had to do this myself the other day when I flashed back to gummy charged 1.9

I need root to do this? I knew I shouldn't have started messing with things.

Also, thanks for the help :)

As far as I know yes you have to root to gain access to the problem file.

there are sone great walkthroughs on how to do a basic root on the factory rom in the root/hack forum.
