Cannot locate without GPS

Does anyone have this problem? I know the GPS sucks on this device. If I don't turn on GPS, and google map/weatherbug cannot locate my location at all via the wireless network. Is this normal? I called customer service and the lady said it's a bug and not sending me a another device. Already passed my 14 days return period.

Vibrant has a glitchy gps. Samsung will be issuing a fix soon, or if you cant wait, you can fix it yourself: [FIX] Updated: GPS Tracking Issues (Optional FIX) - xda-developers

The issue is not when turning on GPS

It's actually when GPS is off and using the network to estimate my location. It can't find me! What the heck. No one has this issue?

Yes, everyone. The issue is related to a-gps, not actual gps. Try the fix I posted, it should help.
