Cannot move apps to home screen

Galaxy Tab S3
When I select the apps icon home screen, I get only a few of installed apps. When I use "Settings/Apps" I get a long list, but cannot get them to work, or transfer icon to home pages. One example is "Ant radio service" which was probably pre-installed.
I do have the feature of placing the icon on the home screen when the app is first downloaded. This is probably very basic, but I cannot figure it out.

Hi, system apps like ant radio can't add to the home screen only what's in your app drawer.

If I understand you correctly, I might as well delete/remove all the apps on the Sttings/apps list that are not in the apps drawer, or already on the home screen?

No you dont have to delete anything, what's in your app drawer you can add to your home screen .
