I have Google one which is basically Google Drive to me but includes everything including pictures, backups and a whole lot of other features.

I received a free upgrade to 5 TB of storage space thanks to Google. It is crazy because I barely have used 160 GB of
Storage, which is 3% of 5 TB.

Has anyone else been upgraded?

I received the same email yesterday as well. My family are at 62.58 GB used so I think that upgrade will suffice for quite a while LOL

I don't think I'll be getting that email. I am on the 2TB and have used 278GB of storage.

I think it's an upgrade associated with Gemini Pro. I don't pay for AI, so I'm not expecting an upgrade.

I have two email accounts and the only one that I was paying for was 200GB but got the promo on my second email for the 5TB

I don't pay for AI either. I paid for 200 GB storage back during the pandemic. I think I got a storage upgrade and AI upgrade but cannot remember why. I think it was either from getting a subscription to YouTube music OR when I bought my Pixel 9 Pro XL. I got upgraded to 2 TB after one of these.

I didn't pay for 2 TB so I will take the upgrade to 5TB but I didn't pay for any AI

Im not paying to be a beta customer (AI portion). I'll happily not get a free upgrade and pay the substantially lower price I am now for my storage.

Yep. I'm on the 2TB AI Pro and got upgraded. The best bit seems to be 10% off anything I buy from the Store as a credit.
