cannot switch shuffle function off in music

I click on the crossed arrows and nothing happens. It blinks but does not change.
any help would be welcome

Welcome to Android Central! Is this the stock Music app from Samsung, or Google Play Music? Try going to the App Manager, select the music app you're using, and Clear Cache.
