Android Central Question

I have a g6 play xt1922-9 Android 8.0 through Cricket. I havent had any problems til I noticed about 2 days ago that the battery life has gone to crap suddenly. Today I noticed that my Opera mini had used 33% of battery (though it used to not - it has been my preferred browser the entire time I've owned the phone). I went to uninstall it (via settings). When I click uninstall, it never completes. I restarted. Tried a few more times. Also tried via the home screen & via google play, to no avail. It at some point started freezing or restarting when I'd try. Then it started freezing solid and/or restarting ALOT, nomatter if I'm even doing anything on it. I have tried safe mode. It doesnt seem to freeze or reboot constantly like it does in normal now, but it STILL has froze or rebooted in safe a few times.... All of this in the past 8 hour time frame!!!
Am I going to have to factory reset???

First try to uninstall it in safe mode. Then, if it still doesn't uninstall, factory reset. If it still doesn't uninstall after that, you'll have to reflash Android (which will probably be difficult, since Lenovo [they own the Motorola name - Motorola Mobility hasn't existed for years] doesn't give out the bootloader unlock code for AT&T devices - which Cricket is).

Welcome to Android Central! How are you trying to uninstall the app -- from the Play Store app, or from the Settings>Apps menu?
