Cannot UPDATE Note 8.0

I don't know what the issue is. I cannot get my galaxy note 8.0 to update. I did a factory reset and it says in kies that it the most current build, but I'm running 4.2.2. I am in the US and wifi only. The software shows its official under about tablet or software. Kies shows this build when I connect it. can anyone tell me the issue or if there is one. My wife has the same exact tablet, hers is actually older than mine and she was able to update OTA. Is there anyway I can force this update?

Had the same problem. Ota failed everytime and kies would never initialize after downloading. I went over to xda and downloaded the official unrooted firmware and flashed via odin. Flash counter stay official and gives 4.4.2

Oh and somehow I was running a firmware meant for a different country. Go to sammobile.com and go to the firmware section. Compare your firmware to the list and let us know what country yours is for. Because mine want for the usa it said my 4.2.2 was current.
