Can't Access Camera Settings After Sec Updates & Camera Update

sadly, that will also remove my data and I don't want to do that because my settings are my data and they are the way I want them. it would just be nice to be able to modify them if I want. if this doesn't fix the issue then I'm stuck and can't put the settings I want back in place. not willing to chance it.

But it's the setting for just the camera. That can easily be setup again, there aren't that many. The camera isn't working at all now, right?

no. it's the settings for the camera that's crashing whenever I try to open them. the camera works fine. since I can't open them (the settings, because they crash), I'm not willing to risk clearing them, then have it still not work and be stuck with non-customized camera settings.

thank you! now I hope that it's this update that's causing it and not the one they sent through with the sec update.
What version of the Camera app do you have? Mine is 9.5.00.58. Since you're the only person reporting the camera-settings problem, I doubt it's a bug in either the Camera app or the latest firmware update.

You've mentioned having used a package disabler, and also having just done two successive firmware updates in a row (having delayed the first one with the package disabler?), correct? My guess would be that your updates were installed improperly as a result. If I were you, I would do a factory reset and then refrain from re-installing the package disabler. Or to avoid a factory reset, maybe uninstall the package disabler, and then flash the ASI3 firmware via Odin.

yes, but everything in PDP was fully cleared of disabled apps, then closed, and it was such a pita getting on my device that uninstalling it is not something I want to do. not doing a FR either. not gonna happen.

might try odining over the last update again. I'll think about that, but it won't be soon because I'm dealing with a puppy with a broken leg and there is nothing left of me for me and my needs, or to do that kind of stuff. first need to do about 15 million things that are in line in front of it.

thanks for all your suggestions. it's just the settings and they are configured the way I want them. who knows, the next update may handle it.

thanks! he may need surgery. have an appt. on Monday so there's that too. more time more money. my head is spinning

Good luck. Keep your head up.
Taking care of our animal loved ones can be difficult.
My Cockatiel broke her leg once.
They gave her a little cast, and I had to buy an aquarium to prevent her from climbing.

ohhh... so sorry. and thank you.

my ZouZou likes to samba, that is when he wags his tail his whole body moves and he bounces up and down and taps with his front legs. it is making the healing quite difficult. he's been in a cast/splint for 4.5 weeks but it's not healing properly, though it will apparently heal. it will just leave him with arthritis and with chronic pain. we have a surgical consult on Monday, but honestly, I don't know why I'm going because there's no money for surgery even if they can help at this point. feeling a bit lost right now.
