So I've run into an issue where I can't access any files on the SD card while the phone is charging. I've got the USB connection type set to Charge Only but I still get the message that the SD card is unavailable because it's being used as USB storage. Any way to get around this? Not to beat a dead horse but I can't NOT charge the phone at some point during the day as I play and stream music all day at my desk. I would really like to leave my iPod touch at home and just use my phone to listen to my music.

Change it to 'disk drive' when you plug it in.

Are you using Doubletwist? I think that app defaults the setting to "disk drive" even if you chose "charge only." I think there's a setting in Doubletwist that can disable this feature. I uninstalled the program so unfortunately I can't help you find it.

I have had that issue, you just change the setting to something else... i.e disk drive, or htc sync. unplug, then plug it back, and change it back. You should see something like prepairing SD Card. then everything should go well.

Yep, that was it. Thanks!

I was having the same problem, I thought my phone was defective and it was driving me nuts. Thanks for this tip!
