Cant add alarm widigit

Every time I drag it to the some screan it never stays and when I drag it it opens the alarm/clock app theres no check mark some times I get basic settings am I do something wrong or is it just glitchy

That's weird, I have several of the stock alarm widgets on one of my home screens. Never had any issues adding them.
