can't answer my RAZR MAXX HD phone when it rings

[AC Question]

I have a Motorola Razr Maxx HD. It seems that after the recent update that whenever my phone rings I can not open phone to answer it. I've tried looking at all the settings, but nothing has changed. Please help.

Try to clear cache and app data for the phone app. Also try clear cache in recovery

The cache didn't need deleting. I clicked it, but it stayed the same. I don't know how to clear the cache in recovery.

I restarted it too but that didn't help either.

Follow the External reset option, and instead of selecting reset, select wipe cache partition. No personal data will be lost doing this.

This happens to me regularly. I have to power cycle the Maxx to get it answering again. I'll try the reboot, then I'm off to switch over to my new LG G2.
