Can't backup data on my Galaxy S8

Why can't I backup my info on my Galaxy S8? It says I need to delete internal storage but I should have 7 GB of storage still on my phone. I don't know where to go or how to delete this information. I do not have a memory card yet.

What or how exactly are you trying to create a back up of? If you only have 7GB left on your phone, and you're trying to back up what's currently in it to the phone itself, then yeah, it makes sense you can't as what you have outweighs your available space.

1. Use cloud service. Google, Samsung, MS OneDrive etc.
2. SD memory card.
3. Always have more than one backup set and method.
You are using over 40GB for data.
