Can't be online while on the phone

I have the t-mobile s7 and I can't access the web while on the phone. Never had this problem with my S6. VoLTE is disabled so I don't think this is the issue. Anyone has any ideas why? Thanks!

You need Enhanced 4G (VoLTE) turned on if you want to use simultaneous voice and data at LTE speeds. It may be that with Enhanced 4G turned off, the phone is defaulting to 3G data speeds, and maybe the 3G signal or speeds are really poor in that area.

On my old S6, I had the VoLTE off and no issues with Internet usage while on the phone.

That's weird . on tmobile it should just drop to h+ for simultaneous voice and data if you don't have volte enabled
