So tired of being confined to iPhone hell unless there's a jailbreak available. Now I've got a Galaxy S3 and am loving it! Can't wait to see what I can tweak on this baby.:D

Welcome. You'll love it here.

Sent from my totally awesome Sprint Galaxy Nexus, even if I don't know all its secrets yet.

Welcome to Android and the Forums!
Now...if you really want to get blown away with customization, go to Play, and download Nova Launcher. A launcher is a user interface, which is how you interact with the device's OS. (Currently, you are using Samsung's TouchWiz) With Nova, you can change how many icons are in your Home screens and dock (Think on a Windows 7 PC, the home screens are like the desktop, and the dock is the taskbar at the bottom) you can change color themes, scrolling effect and speed etc. And the best part is, you don't need to be rooted (Android equivalent to jailbreaking)

I have Nova on two out of my three devices, and I love it!!My Epic 4G Touch is stock, but because Nova doesn't like the Accuweather widget (You may see that Nova can't launch some widgets) and I think that is because that widget is coded for TouchWiz.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Welcome to the Android community, you got one heck of a phone. I'm rocking the Note 2

I second @Golfdriver recommendation,Nova is a good Launcher. Personally I prefer use ADW Launcher to Nova.

Welcome to #teamandroid :) I've been Android since 2010 but dabbled in JB IOS before that (iTouch, iPad). I'm rocking a stock ROM rooted Samsung Galaxy Note II. Am absolutely impressed by Jelly Bean. Have fun!

I agree with _X_ that ADW is a good launcher, but I had used Nova for about a month before so I was used to Nova, and ADW was just different enough that I didn't like it. But it is still a good launcher.

Welcome to Android and to AC! Glad to hear you're enjoying the S3 so much; the S3 forums here are quite active so it shouldn't be any trouble to jump right in. :)

Thanks for all the great messages! I loved the SGS3, but really had my eye on the HTC One. It's been interesting. I got the 32GB AT&T and quickly bricked it (really good) by loading a dev rom onto it. LOL Live and learn. Luckily Best Buy didn't even try to turn the phone on. Best part of it? I bought a 64GB Dev unit directly from HTC and save $50 AND didn't have to pay tax. So I'm rooted on that now and have Go Launcher and Apex Launcher loaded on it. So far I'm really liking Apex!

My latest problem is I'm trying to get Google Wallet loaded. It's not working so far, but I love a challenge.

Too bad about the Galaxy, but I am not sure if it was the fact that a Dev ROM is what bricked it. Did you get an AT&T ROM? For your exact model? With ROMs you need to get a ROM for an AT&T Galaxy S3, nothing else will work, as ROMs are carrier specific. But glad you are liking your new device.

Congrats on the switch!! I had the iPhone 4 and 5 and switched to Android recently and I have no regrets. So much better than iOS.
