Can't change FB Messenger notification in Marshmallow (S7), why?

can't change FB Messenger notification in Marshmallow (S7)

I can't seem to select any of my customised ringtones or notification tones in Facebook Messenger. It doesn't show any of them, only the ones that come with the app. I have the new S7, which is running Marshmallow. Anyone else having this problem?

Go into app manager and find messenger. Then give it permission to access your storage. You might have to close and reopen messenger. Hopefully that works
