Welcome to Android Central. :)

Try a Cache Partition wipe.
Also, try the various options in the keyboard app in your app manager.

That's a bit drastic for such a minor annoyance. Have you tried uninstalling the keyboard app, and reinstalling?

i tried to remove all languages except one

then add another same thing

tried to remove another language to see if i can type using it. i can

then added other languages but i cant switch

how do i uninstall the keyboard app ?i looked under apps its not there

You can download them on Play. Google has a free one, and Swiftkey is very popular.

From an AOSP M8

Had the same problem after installing greenify and enabling it in accessibility settings for auto hibernation to work. That's when started having problems with languages, changing with space bar in keyboard. Disabled greenify in accessibility settings and worked as before. Something to check for.

I've had the same problem on a good old Galaxy Core Prime for the first time ever right after enabling some option for Cube ACR recorder in accessibility settings and i literally forgot all about that little option until i found the replies in here leading me to check accessibility settings and boom , i disabled that option and my Samsung keyboard works again
