Can't change lock screen security

Whenever I try to change my lock screen to have a password, pin, fingerprint etc. it still has swipe to unlock in the lock screen. How do I fix this?

You mean it still says that or the swipe to unlock stays on and whatever you are trying to use doesn't work?
