can't charge?

Wondered if anyone can help. Got my s6 on friday and been fine until yesterday. Now, whenever I plug my charger in, the screen goes black and it says I've plugged in gear vr and need to downooad apps for it. I can then reboit it by pressing power, home and volume down, but obviously I need to be able to charge it!

Make sure you have all your photos, videos, contacts, and etc. backed up

Easy way :

Settings > backup and reset > factory data rest.

Hard way (but the best way) :

Press and hold volume up > press and hold home button > press and hold power button all at the same time. Let go of buttons when screen flashes. A menu will appear at the top left and use volume up/down buttons to scroll down to factory data reset then press power button to select. Follow on screen prompts.

Before trying the reset, you could follow the "hard way" steps to clear the cache partition or a soft reboot holding volume down instead of volume up. Soft reboot then clear cache partition then factory reset. I would use factory reset as a last resort. If it doesn't work, exchange it.
