Can't check software updates

Hello.

I bought a ZenFone 2 via gearbest (can't buy it directly in my country), and so far it's been a great, although flawed experience.
My biggest concern is that anytime I try to check for an update, a message saying "DMClient has stopped working" appears. If I check the app on settings, it shows 0.0B on app data.

Does anyone else has this problem too? Is there a way to fix it?
I'm running stock, non rooted, 2.15.40.13 version

Thanks in advance for any helpful information

Try rebooting ur device. Or clear the cache data in ur phone. That should probably solve ur problem.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I have tried those a few times with no success.
I'm thinking maybe a factory reset could help, but I don't really feel like doing that.
Where can I find the latest firmware to sideload it ?
