Can't connect to Internet

Hi guys. I got a Chineese phone (Umidigi C Note) and it works fine but I can't connect to internet via the SIM card. I can make and receive calls or connect via wifi but the 3g or 4g internet connection doesn't work. I have the correct APN set (tried auto and manual). I have allowed roaming data and still nothing. Is there a way to test if the problem is hardware or software? Also the phone supports the bands in my country.

Does it support the bands that your carrier is using? Not all carriers in a country use the same bands.

Did you set the APN that your carrier uses. Setting the data to what's used by a different carrier won't work either.

As a last resort, try bringing the phone to your carrier ans asking for assistance.
