Can't connect to new phone

I have a gear s2 that I used on my note 5. I stopped using it and reset it and gave it to my son for christmas. We are having an issue with numbers syncing it to his phone. It keeps syncing to my phone. Any ideas?

Did you delete it from the Gear app on your phone? This should force the watch to reset and be able to be setup on a new phone.

If you do a Soft Reset on the Gear S2 then it'll work. I had to do that when I changed phones and it sees it fine now.
