Can't connect to Uber without WiFi

I have Consumer Cellular with WiFi and data. I can't connect to Uber ride sharing unless there is a WiFi connection nearby.
I checked with Consumer Cellular and was told my data and WiFi are setup correctly.
I've email Uber support but have not received a response.
(Twice in the past I've emailed Uber with questions. 1st time they responded; 2nd time they didn't)
I tried uninstalling and re-installing my Uber app.
Any helpful suggestions - other than to not use Uber? I'm a old guy with disabilities and no car.
