Can't connect to wifi with security enabled

Hi, just got my s4 mini
in order to connect the phone to my wifi ( TP-Link TD-W8960N ) i have to disable all the security settings on the router
does anyone know how i can reinstate some security and still connect ?

Try changing the security to WEP and it should work. If it doesn't, your router isn't compatible.

i tried it and it won't connect with WEP on
can you suggest a suitable wireless router ?
