Can't decide on size and model...

I currently wear a Samsung Great Sport and I'd like to upgrade to a Galaxy Watch 4. I'm having a tough time deciding on what size to get and which model. The classic version is similar to my Gear Sport (with the physical rotating bezel) which I'm use to, but I also like the clean look of the standard model. My wrist size is about 6-3/4" in circumference. Any advice or suggestions on whether the classic 46 mm would be too large? Same for the 44 mm standard model? Thanks.

FWIW I have small girly-man wrists and I think the 46 mm watch looks fine.

Thanks for the feedback. I know it's trendy now to wear rather larger watches, but I don't want to go overboard. If the classic 46 mm appears slightly larger than my Gear Sport, then I can deal with that unfortunately, I can't find any local stores where I can try one on.

You have to go and try them on...it is really that simple. We can't help you figure out what you like...

I just ordered a 46 mm silver classic from Costco and it should arrive in two days. I'll give it a try and return it if it seems too large for my wrist.

You should be fine. Although the size is technically 46mm the case of the classic is shaped different and gives a more narrow appearance. Remember, the band width (although a little juts out on each side) is only 20mm.

In all, it was an adjustment for me getting used to the reduction in size/look when I transitioned from the original galaxy watch to the Classic 46mm and both are rated as 46mm watches.

Thanks for your comments. So, the original Galaxy watch was larger than the new 46mm watch 4 classic?

The case/body of the watch was considerably larger.

I believe watch measurement that provides the 46mm size is the diameter of the watch (measuring horizontally). The lugs of the watch case can vary which is what made the original look so much beefier. The lugs were bigger and further apart than compared to the GW4.

My 46 mm Classic arrived today and I was pleasantly surprised to find it just slightly larger than my current Gear Sport. Cool! It's very well constructed and I love the larger screen (a relief for my aging eyes). It seems to fit just right on my wrist. 20210914_121152.jpg
