Can't delete pictures to make more space on my phone

Hi,

I just got the insufficient space on my phone. So I deleted about 300 pictures but it still says not enough space. I went into my files and deleted the pictures. Are they still not deleted? What's the trick to deleting pictures to make more space? I would think getting rid of 300 would make a difference. Thanks.

The thumbnails folder can sometimes grow pretty large -- use a file manager and see how big it is. The directory should be /DCIM/.thumbnails.

Thanks. That seemed to help. I had to hook phone up to computer and delete that way - DCIM folder. Deleting from my Gallery wasn't doing the trick.
