Hi,

I tried to disable the my tmobile app, but unlike other apps, this app does not give you the option to disable it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Its the stock T-Mobile phone? I don't have the T-Mobile version, but the international one, but I use T-mobile so I downloaded the account manager app anyway lol. It's one of the few bloat ware apps that I actually use lol.

Anyway if it's not giving the option to disable it then the only way to get rid if it will be to root it, if/when it's available.

Unless, are you talking about the app itself or just the persistent notification?

If you can't disable then you would need to root to remove it.

Sent from my LG G4

On my G3 the OS Monitor app shows the T-Mobile account info popping up all the time, and can't disable. After killing the process it pops right up again.

You can go into the menu settings for the app and disable all the notifications.

May all your wildest dreams come true...search for

debloater remove carrier bloat xda-developers -- if you have KitKat 4.4 or higher, you don't need to be rooted. Follow instructions and I believe the app is called: TMO_MYACCOUNT.APK

Click it -- apply -- SO LONG. Though, I do think you can disable all functions and just have the stupid app running without doing anything.

I know this thread is old, but perhaps it will help present searches.
I disabled my T-Mobile account on a Galaxy s5 SM-G900t, running KitKat 4.4.2 without rooting.
I disabled T-Mobile My Account, T-Mobile Name ID, T-Mobile TV, T-Mobile Software Update, Google Play Music, and ChatON with "Package Disabler" (I think it was free from Google Store)
The reason I disabled is because my cell is unlocked and running on AT&T. I don't want nor need T-Mobile, but it was constantly updating TM stuff. Hope this is of help.
