Can't do a factory reset...

Bought a Xoom with the $100 off at Staples. It was stable for about 30min during which time, I setup personal info. It started rebooting every few min after that so I tried to do a factory reset. It seems to be crashing during the reset as at the conclusion of the reboot, it still has all my data and widget positions intact...this repeated itself a few more times.

So I'm in a bit of a pickle...my xoom has personal and sensitive info that I can't seem to delete. I can lock the Xoom, but I don't feel comfortable at all returning it, even if it's locked...

Any advice?

Not sure what the problem is exactly. But you should be able to remove your information by going to settings>accounts and sync> then select your gmail account and remove it(upper right corner). Then I would try another factory reset. If that works take it back for an exchange.
