cant download a file from my Gmail to my Samsung S5 SD card

[Android Central Question]

I select a file from my Gmail account try to save it to my SD Card. I let it run but nothing is save on the SD card. I have left it on over night and nothing happens the file that I last tried to save is 318 KB and I have 29.81 GB free storage left on my SD card.

Welcome to Android Central! How are you trying to save it to the SD card? When you try to download the attachment, does it download successfully to the phone's Download directory in the first place?
