Can't enter recovery mode, "stuck on continue the fastboot process"

So I rooted my phone and I've been trying to get TWRP to work so I can get xposed to work. However whenever I try to enter recovery mode via boot order it doesn't enter recovery mode but instead goes back to the boot loader menu and says "continue the fastboot process" at the bottom. Tried a factory reset but its the same result.

I have an ASUS Zenfone 2
Android 5.0 (Lollipop)
